Information about registration for
TX Regional competitions

All Texas Teams must be current with their membership (new or renewed since the summer). They must register for their REGIONAL competition using this online system once the team start working on a long-term problem. Only teams who complete all their qualifications timely will be included in the schedule. This applies to Competitive teams and Primary teams.

Teams should register their roster as soon as they start discussing the long term solution.

CENTRAL TX team registration: Now past due
HOUSTON AREA Team registration: Now past due
NORTH TX team registration: Now past due
SOUTH TX pre-registration (no Regionals): Now OPEN

Deadline for late-starting teams to register for any regional competition: December 15, 2023.

New and returning teams need to review this updated step-by-step guide on what information needs to be gathered and how to proceed with team registration, especially since OdysseyHQ website is being redesigned and email confirmations will be intermittent this season.

Step 1: Gather All Team Information

  • Membership Number and School Name

  • Zip Code

  • Team Members' Names

  • Team Members' school and grade

  • Coaches' Names

  • Coaches Email Addresses

 Step 2: Register Online DUE BY: DECEMBER 15, 2023

Check under TXNews for the announcement that Team Registration is OPEN for your Region,  then click  REGISTRATION to proceed. You may need to scroll down past announcements to the Login section.

Technical note: You must enable scripts on your browser or you will receive an invalid key error.

Step 3: Competition Confirmation Email

Please note that email confirmation from an automated system often ends up in spam folder or is blocked by some corporate email accounts. In order to avoid this, consdier using a personal email account, and add "odysseyhq@odysseyofthemind.com" to your whitelist or contacts ahead of registration.

Due to OdysseyHQ website upgrades, automated emails are intermittent at the moment. Please bear with us during this construction phase.

If you do NOT receive your confirmation email after 24 hours, you may login and there are additional requirements to provide judge(s) to be trained and untrained volunteer(s) for the competition, including requirements if your team advances to the next level. Team qualifications vary by region, latest updates are posted here.

 Step 4: Competition Fee DUE BY: JANUARY 15, 2024

The competition Fee is payable to the TX organization by every team who participates in a competition. It is not the same entity as the annual membership fee, which goes to Odyssey HQ (“CCI”). Please do NOT issue the competition fee check/PO to Odyssey HQ.

If you have a Purchase Order (“PO”), please allow an additional two weeks for processing before the deadline. If you need an invoice for your entire school or district, please contact your Regional Director in due time.

 Step 5: Print Payment Receipt

  • Once the competition fee payment is received you can login to print the receipt. It may take 7 to 10 days to post the payment.

  • Click here to access the Team Area:

    • Login with your TEAM username and password

    • Click on “Summary” (right side of web page)

    • Please PRINT this page once the Balance-Due is $0.00

  • Contact your Regional Director if there are any issues.
