2026 State Competition Key Dates

Here is a convenient list of all key dates for the TX State Competition.

February	15^th		Deadline	Submission of Clarification Requests. Teams should continue to check clarifications that could be posted later by International Problem Captains, even after Regional Competitions.
February	21^st	8:00 am - 5:00 pm	Competition	*North TX* Regional Competition, followed by Awards. Advancing teams participate in the State Competition.
February	21^st	8:00 am - 5:00 pm	Competition	*HARO Regional* Competition, followed by Awards. Advancing teams participate in the State Competition.
February	24^th		Key date	*Pre-sales open* for State Finalist shirts
February	24^th		Deadline	*All* judges representing advancing teams from HARO and North TX regional Competition advance their registration for State.
February	28^th	8:00 am - 5:00 pm	Competition	*Central TX* Regional Competition, followed by Awards. Advancing teams participate in the State Competition.
March	3^rd		Deadline	All judges* representing advancing teams from Central TX regional Competitions must register for State*
March	3^rd		Deadline	*Judges* who need any assistance with hotel reservation or transportation. Must contact the Judge Coordinator. Email statejudge@txodyssey.org
March	3^rd		Deadline	If paying Competition Fee* by P.O. or check, email copy of approved P.O. to* state@txodyssey.org by this date.
March	6th		Deadline	Book rooms* using the group discount rate. Check our Hotels webpage for exact cut-off date by hotel.*

March	8^th	10 pm	Deadline	*Pre-sales close* for State Finalist shirts
March	11^th -14^th		Key date	Volunteer jobs open for selection, as soon as the competition plan is ready.
March	15^th		Key date	Tentative Team Schedule published.
March	18^th	8 pm to 9 pm	Event	State Competition Walk-Through for Coaches. Virtual session. No rsvp necessary.
March	19^h		Key date	Final Team Schedule published.
March	22^nd		Deadline	Untrained volunteers select their own job by this date. After this date, coaches get assigned remaining jobs and they can delegate internally.
March	22^nd		Deadline	Judges/Officials submit travel reimbursement requests in order to receive payment at the Competition. If they submit later (by Apr 30^th), they will get reimbursed by mail.
March	22^nd		Deadline	Submit online form for rsvp to Team Mixer and Shirt sizes for WF (one form per team).
March	27^th	6:30 pm to 8:30 pm	Event	Team Mixer. All teams are invited to attend this social event at San Jacinto College South in Houston, sponsored by TX Odyssey.
March	28^th	8 am to 5 pm	Competition	TX State Competition at San Jacinto College South in Houston
March	28^th	6 pm to 7:30 pm (tentative)	Event	Awards Ceremony at San Jacinto College South in Houston, followed by short briefing on World Finals
March	26^th	7:30 pm to 9 pm	Event	World Finals Q&A session online. For all team coaches and parents travelling to World Finals. Virtual session. No rsvp needed.
May	Thu 28^thto Sat 30^th	three full days	Competition	World Finals competition, Iowa State University, in Ames, IA. (For advancing teams from State)
