Odyssey of the Mind is a creative problem-solving competition for students of all ages. Teams of students select a problem, create a solution, then present it as a team in a competition.
The Texas Association organizes tournaments for our teams at the Regional and State level. Advancing teams participate at the World Finals every year.
How?
* Students work in teams of up to seven members under the guidance of an adult coach.
* Teams spend several months, at their own pace, creating their unique solution to a selected long-term problem. This includes Style enhancements.
* Team members come up with all the ideas for their solution and do all the work themselves.
* Teams have 8 minutes to present their long-term solution at competition in the form of a skit.
