WF Coach Binder

Here is the list of all informational documents:
Some documents are large. We recommend that you download/save documents first, before you open them. 

Print this entire checklist and go through each document one week before WF to ensure that you have the latest versions in your binder.

Document updates

1. Documents in WF Coaches Packet in a single PDF.

2. A full copy of your Long-Term Problem.

3. A printed or electronic copy of the Program Guide (the Rules!!).

4. Detailed procedure for Spontaneous document (coming soon).

5. List of documents from your TX Odyssey support team that you need to download/print ONE WEEK BEFORE WF and take with you to World Finals in a coach binder. Updates will be listed above so that you have the latest version.

Admin Forms

At team registration, you submit/show 4 types of documents:

  • Team Contract (one for entire team and coach).

  • Media Release Form (one per team member and coach).

  • Liability Waiver (one per team member, coaches, family members and guests).

  • ISU Medical Release Form (one per team member under 18).

  • ISU Health Services Form (one per person - required at the Thielen Student Health Center if the need for treatment presents itself). Not submitted, keep with you.

  • Place them together in your binder pocket A. COLLATE THEM BY FORM TYPE.

Team Forms

All problem related forms (outside assistance, cost form, style form, team required form) are turned in at long term pre-staging, on tournament day: You can re-use copies of your State Tournament forms or create new. Make sure they are up to date. Place them together in your binder pocket B.

Event Tickets

  • The Opening And Award (Closing) Ceremonies are ticketed events. Tickets are free to the Odyssey Community.

  • At team registration, coach will receive tickets in the Texas section of the arena for all team members and registered coaches (irrespective of where they are staying), as well as any other person also staying in Odyssey housing. They will be in pairs for both Opening and Closing Ceremony.

  • All guests who are not staying on campus can collect their free tickets on the day of each event, from the OM Information Desk. They will be seated in the spectator zone up above the Texas section, while seats last.

  • We ask that any unused tickets due to travel or cancelation are turned in to the TX Director or contact to ensure they are used within the TX Delegation.

  • The Float & Banner Ceremony is not ticketed, not are the graduation or Coaches Competition. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Site Map

At team check-in, you will receive your dorm and meal plan information, as well as tickets for all events. Also a tournament program which usually includes a full venue and local shuttle map inside the back cover. 
We have combined the ISU official info/site map (with phone numbers!), with our compiled own version annotated for each problem venue. Share maps with ALL parents.

Props Map

Location of Prop Delivery, Storage and Assembly Sites, by Problem.

Downloaded extract of the Texas teams competition schedule by school.

Matrix

Matrix of Howdy Assignments for each team, sorted by date/time of long-term performance. Please verify your team's schedule and assignments. You locate your team along the left column by long term day/time. Then you look on that row for the two (H) boxes indicating the teams and times that you have been assigned to watch (team names at the top of that column). Howdy assignments are for the entire team and families to go cheer on Texas teams.

Volunteers & Full Schedule

This team Extended Schedule is alphabetical by team name. It includes your competition schedule, Howdy assignments for the whole team, volunteer slot for one parent (or a team task for div III), and for those who have a Buddy team, the schedule of your buddy team. 

Contacts

List of emergency contacts for our TX Officials in Iowa, will be sent by email one week prior. We are your support team so feel free to contact us for any need, whether minor or critical. Contact Kimi Morita for parades, volunteers and Creativity Festival.
Also, please contact our Association co-Director Lilian Wannall for any team support or emergency of any kind. This is our Primary role at WF.

Other

Please print the WF t-shirt guide in order to verify the dress code every day. 

Also print our TX FAQ web page about various events. This also contains description and meeting points for each parade.

Team Photo order form. Each team receives one complimentary team photo courtesy of CCI, but you can also order more at the Premier Portraits photo booth found in Hilton Coliseum. All team photos will be included in the yearbook. Order at the booth or download a form now: You can plan to do this at the Creativity Festival (Wed-Fri) or any evening (Tue, Wed or Fri) at the Hilton Coliseum.

Problems

For your Howdy, you can print the Problem Synopses. You will be watching teams performing different problems so a refresher of other problems synopsis will be helpful.
