Team & Judge Registration

To qualify for the Central TX Region Tournament, both competitive teams and primary teams MUST complete the following general steps:

  • Purchase/Renew your annual membership

  • Register Team Online

  • Have Judge(s) register online to represent your Team

Judge registration opens mid-Nov 2025 to Jan 15, 2026. Judges must be at least 18 years of age.

Judge Information and Registration

NOTE: Each MEMBERSHIP that has 3 or more teams must provide 2 additional judges. So, if you are a membership with 4 teams, you will provide a total of 6 judges. If you are a membership with only 2 teams, you only provide 2 judges.

The judge must commit to completing the General Training online as well as completing the General Training Certification Test online before Sunday, February 16, 2025. The judge must also commit to ONE possibly TWO competition days.

The judge is only required to judge at the state tournament if the team they represent advances to the State tournament.

Judges representing Primary teams are not required to judge at the State tournament, but if they would like to judge they would be welcomed.

 Problem Specific Judge training will be held prior to the start of regional competition on Saturday, February 28th, 2026.

  • Have Two 2-3 Hour Volunteers register online to represent your Team (Volunteer registration should be open soon)

Untrained volunteers work for 2-3 hours at the Region tournament.

Job assignments will be given the week before the tournament. (Volunteers will be able to select jobs approximately 2 weeks before the tournament)

  • Payment of Region tournament fee

Payment must be received at TXOM (NOT Odyssey of the Mind) by January 15, 2026. See Tournament Fee Payment Information for details.

FAQ’s/Additional Information:

  • Additional Team Judges as well as Community Judges are welcome

  • Judges must be at least 18 years of age. Volunteers may be responsible student volunteers. Documentation can be provided if it is needed for any student.

  • All Judges – new and experienced – MUST be trained EACH year.

  • Coaches may NOT attend Judges Training.

  • Judges and Volunteers MUST register online and will receive a confirmation email.

  • If your Judges or volunteers do not receive a confirmation email, please contact the Central Regional Directors.

  • Pick a judge that you would be happy to have judge your team.

  • Judges may NOT judge in the problem of the team they represent.

  • Judges may NOT change the problem they are to judge after they have been trained.

  • Judges will NOT get time off to watch performances.
