Which shirt do I wear today?

This list outlines the dress code at World Finals for TEAM TEXAS for 2026.

All friends and family attending World Finals are invited to purchase shirts as part of the Texas delegation at World Finals. It helps support our program.

Note: Surplus will be available for purchase during our online World Finals sale in April, while supplies last. If you fail to purchase team shirts, we ask that you match the colors to the extent possible. Team members will be allowed to stay in the Texas delegation area during Opening and Awards ceremonies with “like” shirts but they cannot participate in parades.

Wednesday - The STATE shirt

Go for Gold

The 2026 State Finalists T-shirt is a yellow shirt honoring the Olympic Games this year, with our mascot TEX “going for gold” on the finalist stand. The back of the shirt features the five Texas regions in intertwined state shapes, says “Texas State Finalists 2026”.

This is the t-shirt of the State Odyssey of the Mind Tournament in March. As you see from the size selection, coaches, family and friends are all welcome to cheer their team! You can wear it around town/campus and for team pictures.

It is worn all day WEDNESDAY as well as at the Opening Ceremonies at World Finals evening. It must be worn by anyone who walks in the the “Parade of Nations”, as well as any team and family members who own one, in the Texas delegation area.

Thursday - The REGION shirt

The Luchadors

The 2025 Region shirt is dark blue with a vintage luchadores westling match poster featuring the battle between the OMER values and Outside Assistance. On the back are listed all the 2026 problems. The theme matches the luchadores mask pins that comprises our 2026 problem set.

This is the t-shirt of the Regional Odyssey of the Mind Tournaments (Central Region, North Region, Houston Area Region). As you see from the size selection, coach, family and friends are all welcome to cheer their team! You can wear it around town/campus and for team pictures.

It is also worn by team and family members all day on THURSDAY as well as the Float & Banner Parade event. It must be worn by anyone who walks in the “Float & Banner Parade”, if Texas has an entry this year.

Friday is a free dress day at WF

You can wear any souvenir shirts that you purchase from Odyssey of the Mind in Michigan! But if you plan to take team portrait that day, you should carry a TX team shirt (or go in costume).

You can wear a school OM shirt if the design has been preapproved by TXOM.

Saturday - The State Champions Awards shirt

Leave Nothing to Waste

This is the t-shirt of the Texas teams attending Odyssey of the Mind World Finals in Ames, IA, celebrating reuse om all OM solutions. The shirt is dark green featuring TEX, our mascot popping out of a dumpster dive. The question is asked: “Are you going to use that?” To which, his friend OMER responds: “It’s trash CAN, not trash CAN’T!”.

Everyone wears the shirt all day and the provided hat as well at the Awards Ceremony (to be picked up at ISU).
