From Trash to Treasure 

Look around the room, take a good long stare,

Do you see that trash can right there?

Yes, now let's see how you fare!

Not a metaphor, not a joke at all,

It's a hands-on SponTX Challenge, so heed the call!

Grab that trash can, that bin, bag, or basket in sight,

The trash receptacle is your medium tonight.

Transform it! Upcycle it! Make Texas proud!

Create something bold that will wow a crowd.

Only an Odyssey mind could conceive,

A trash can as art you'd never believe.

Now picture your piece in the year 2126,

Displayed in a museum with futuristic tricks.

An artwork worthy of an olympiad,

From Trash to Treasure, now that’s pretty rad!

So sculpt it, fold it, paint it, or weave,

Make a creation we must see to believe,

The Museum of Fine Arts awaits your debut,

That receptacle? A sensational view!

May the 4th be with you, so this is your sign!

To snap a picture of your masterpiece before the deadline.
