For Team and Community Judges from Houston and South TX regions

PART ONE: General training is provided by video. All new judges can take this training on their own time - deadline to submit the general certification test is Jan 31st. Returning judges are exempt from the general training but they also must submit the general certification test by Jan 31st.

Also available online is a short presentation for Educators. Educators receive G/T Differentiated Curriculum certificate recognized for GT credit by HISD, SBISD, SISD. Other educators or professionals can check with their own district/organization. The certificate is provided on competition day.

PART TWO: All judges are required to attend, both returning and new judges. This will be in the form of video conferencing on Saturday, Feb 3 from 3 to 5 pm approximately. You will receive access details by groups by Jan 27th, if you have submitted your general certification test timely.

A make-up session will be available on Saturday, Feb 17 from 3 pm but it will be limited in scope. There will be no other training opportunities.

Judges' Training is REQUIRED, even if you have judged before.

Judge registration opens in Nov 2023. Judges will receive general training access information after they register.
